Toys For Tots is a national program run by the United States Marine Corps, through the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation. The project has been active in the Cedar Rapids Community since 1949, and has grown in size each year. In 2003, Toys For Tots collected and distributed toys to 1,744 children in need, representing 687 families in our community.

Since there is not a local Marine Corps detachment, Toys For Tots is coordinated in Cedar Rapids by volunteers from the Cedar Rapids Jaycees, in partnership with the Marion Jaycees and the United States Marine Corps Reserve and Auxiliary Cedar Valley Detachment.
